Join us as system-impacted writers and artists share their verses of freedom through spoken word poetry.
An event hosted by IL-CHEP to provoke thought and stimulate interest in the plight of mass incarceration in the United States and the need for higher education in prison programs to combat recidivism and build minds resulting in transitioning from imprisonment to being a productive member of society.
5:30-6:30 PMÂ Resource fair to provide additional information to the general public, advocates and system impacted people with reentry support organizations and resources.
6:30-8:00 PMÂ Spoken Word Artists & Performance
8:00-9:30 PMÂ Open Mic
